The Graduate League Branch of the School of Biomedical Engineering (SBME), formally named the Graduate General Branch Committee of the Communist Youth League of Tsinghua University's School of Biomedical Engineering, operates under the guidance of the Party Committee's Graduate Work Group of SBME and the University Graduate League Committee. It comprises four functional departments: the Organization Department, Publicity Department, Practice Department, and Volunteer Department. The organization maintains close cooperation with grassroots Party branches, League branches, class collectives, other school-level organizations, as well as graduate leagues and student associations from various sister departments. As an engineering school with interdisciplinary characteristics, SBME's graduate group demonstrates diversity in research directions, richness in grassroots collectives, and extensiveness in personnel distribution. Adhering to the core mission of mass organizations, the Graduate League Branch of SBME follows the work philosophy of "One Penetration, Three Transformations, and Five Linkages," striving to build a pragmatic, innovative, platform-oriented, and leading graduate league. It consistently upholds the tenet of serving all graduate students wholeheartedly, actively providing support in ideological guidance, employment practice, social welfare, and backbone training.

Organization Department

Based on the characteristics of SBME's graduate students, centering on the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, and aligning with the needs of the times, the Organization Department is committed to building a pragmatic, innovative, and leading League organization. Helping young people establish correct ideals and firm beliefs is regarded as its primary task, with strengthened ideological and political work. Through integrating ideological guidance into thematic education, social practice, publicity and research, volunteer services, and other activities, it achieves multi-dimensional and three-dimensional ideological and political guidance. As the core force of the graduate league, the Organization Department emphasizes vertical and horizontal linkage to enhance organizational development.

Basic League Affairs: Responsible for maintaining the organizational relations of League members, recommending and assisting in Party member development, establishing a sound League organization management system, and completing other tasks assigned by the Organization Department of the University Graduate League Committee.

Ideological Guidance: Strengthen the ideological construction of the Communist Youth League across the school, organize League secretary salons and training programs, support the growth of grassroots League cadres, and improve members' ideological awareness.

Emotional Connection: Organize diverse co-construction activities among Party branches, League branches, and classes, enrich members' spare-time life, strengthen ties between graduate league members and various branches, and enhance team cohesion.

Practice Department

Upholding the tenet of "uphold integrity and innovate, cultivate talents through practice," the Practice Department is dedicated to guiding young people's growth and success, and serving their career and entrepreneurship. By implementing the university's practice work orientation through the "Five Matches" concept—integrating research institutes with industrial pillars, linking hardware and software enterprises, matching industry priorities with emerging enterprises, etc.—it broadens students' practical horizons and enriches their employment options.

The Practice Department has actively created brand practice activities such as "Career Pathways in Biomedicine" and "Research & Practice in Biomedicine." It invites outstanding alumni working in healthcare, public sectors, innovation and entrepreneurship, and research universities to share experiences, and organizes visits to medical device companies, enabling students to gain in-depth understanding of industry status and development trends.

Volunteer Department

Adhering to the spirit of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress," the Volunteer Department is responsible for undertaking volunteer activities organized by the University Graduate League Committee and characteristic brand activities of SBME. It has launched distinctive volunteer service projects such as "Love Your Laboratory," "Old Drugs for New," and "Research & Practice in Biomedicine," advocating social responsibility and service spirit, and striving to promote the development of social welfare undertakings.

Publicity Department

As an important window for the graduate league to realize ideological guidance, spread school culture, report advanced deeds, and showcase youth vitality, the Publicity Department disseminates diverse content through multiple channels including the school's WeChat official account and Douyin account. Its content covers Party history themes, characteristic branch construction, employment practice, and volunteer services, conveying the vitality and innovative spirit of the Graduate League Branch of SBME.
